How We Protected This Toyota Supra Without Changing Its Look
Full Front PPF on a Nitro Yellow Toyota Supra
Why This Supra Needed Protection
This Nitro Yellow GR Supra came to Urban Werks for protection with purpose. The owner had just taken possession and knew he wanted to preserve the vehicle's finish from the start. With such a bold color and aggressive design, even minor imperfections stand out. More importantly, the Supra’s front end (low and wide by design) is especially vulnerable to rock chips, road debris, and other damage during daily driving.
Rather than wait for paint correction down the road, the owner opted for our complete front paint protection film package to prevent damage before it happens. The goal was simple: maintain the factory-fresh look while driving the car with confidence.

THE IMPORTANCE OF PROPER PREP
Every PPF installation begins with proper prep, and this car was no exception. We started with a full decontamination wash to remove road grime, residue, and environmental fallout. From there, we performed an iron removal and clay bar treatment to eliminate embedded contaminants and smooth out the surface.
This step is critical. If any debris is left behind, it can compromise both the bond of the film and the optical clarity. Proper prep ensures that the film lays flat, bonds well, and disappears into the paint—just as it should.

FULL FRONT COVERAGE WITH PRECISION
With the Supra prepped, we moved into installation. The whole front PPF package includes the front bumper, full hood, full fenders, headlights, mirrors, and a-pillars. These are the areas that see the most impact from driving, especially at highway speeds or on spirited weekend runs.
We used a combination of software-generated patterns and custom trimming to ensure tight coverage with wrapped edges wherever possible. Every panel was carefully aligned, providing the film blended in seamlessly and performed as intended.

PRESERVING THE FACTORY SATIN BLACK ACCENTS
One detail that made this install unique was Toyota’s use of satin black ground effects and mirror caps. These finishes offer great contrast against the Nitro Yellow paint. However, they can easily lose their appearance if the wrong material is used.
To protect these surfaces without altering their look, we applied satin finish paint protection film. This allowed us to deliver complete protection while maintaining the factory texture and tone. The result is subtle, effective, and nearly invisible—just the way it should be.
